The MARL Shop runs on a print-on-demand fulfillment service. This means we do not stock inventory in the shelter, and rather orders are printed by our fulfillment company as each one is purchased. This practice saves MARL time and money that is then put toward the animals. However, this also means delivery times may be longer and any fulfillment issues are out of our control. Please read the following details carefully, and communicate any problems to as we would be happy to address them. 

Order Fulfillment
Please be aware that your order may be delayed unexpectedly as a result of COVID-19 slowdowns. You can view the current fulfillment times (time needed to print and prepare your order before shipping) by clicking this link:

While most orders only take a few days to be fulfilled, in some cases this may take up to a week and a half. Fulfillment describes the time it takes for an order to be prepared before it goes out for shipping, and is not the same as shipping times. To avoid any inconvenience, please place orders at least a week and a half plus your chosen shipping time before the date you need them by.

Items may be returned within 30 days of purchase. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. You must include your packing slip or a copy of your receipt with your return.

To return an item, please mail or drop it off to our shelter at this address: Michigan Animal Rescue League, 790 Featherstone, Pontiac, MI 48342. Please do not send your purchase back to the original manufacturer. At this time, MARL is unable to cover any return shipping costs.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment. Please note that refunds may take a couple of days to process and MARL is not able to refund any shipping costs.

The MARL Shop runs through a print-on-demand fulfillment service which does not accept exchanges. If you need to exchange an item, please follow the instructions above to return your order. Once you receive your refund, you may place a new order for the correct item. MARL is currently unable to cover any shipping costs involved in an exchange.

Damaged or Incorrect Items
If you receive a damaged or incorrect item, please contact within 30 days of receiving your order. Include clear photos of the damaged product and a photo of your packing slip or receipt in your email. We will then report the problem to our fulfillment service and request a replacement. The fulfillment company requests up to 2-3 weeks to replace a damaged or incorrect order once a problem is reported.
